Quote of the Issue
"There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all."

Welcome to the latest issue of The LawsonGuru Letter, a free newsletter providing provocative commentary on issues important to the Lawson Software community.  The LawsonGuru Letter is published by--and is solely the opinion of--John Henley of Decision Analytics.
Interim Assignments in GHR
Curious how different groups on GHR are tracking interim assignments? We go live in October and plan to have supervisor structure tied to position. Our leaning is to give individuals additional work assignments and flag them as interim so they can assume the direct report structure tied to the position. Other suggestions were possibly using delegate functionality. Read More...

RQ01 Stockless Flag
We are a stockless hospital with very small storerooms for backup/emergencies. Since we went live in 2012, we've had our RQ01's set to Stockless Flag Y because we have a variety of stockless contracts. This has always worked for us. Now, from an incident I've had open with Infor since October, they are claiming we need to change our RQ01 stockless flags to N in order for items to process correctly from contracts that are not stockless. The ONLY items that were not processing were the items setup as No Charge on the contracts, which used to work fine up until this past October. All other items are processing correctly, but if we change those flags, there will be many problems. We upgraded RQC to version 10 in our test environment because they originally thought that would solve this no charge item issue. Essentially, the issue exists for us with RQC 9 and RQC 10. Does anyone have any input on those flags and what is working for your facility, if you're stockless as well? Read More...
Credit Card Processes
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to import credit card transactions? We currently upload every credit card by month separately as a Journal Entry. And the more we grow, the more users receive credit cards and it came up in discussion - how do other companies handle their credit card purchases? From what I've seen there's a P-card module? How useful is the module? Or does anyone use an external software to track their detail and upload it into the GL? Or is a good method doing it by journal entry directly into the GL?  Read More...
IPA Email Node - Include a picture in email content
Is it possible to include a pictures/graphics in the email content area of the Email node? I am assuming that the content type will need to ne HTML.  Read More...
